AGF Celebrates Pride Month
Author: Carol Ferguson
June 1, 2020
June is Pride Month, an annual celebration of the LGBTQ2+ community that will be taking on a virtual format this year.
While the COVID-19 pandemic has led to the cancellation of Pride events, festivities will be held online giving people around the world the opportunity to come together at a time when we’re craving social connection to continue the celebrations.
This new format will also provide the LGBTQ2+ community with the opportunity to show the resilience and true spirit of Pride in the face of the pandemic, with a focus on arts and music, community-focused programming and open dialogue.
At AGF, we’re contributing to that dialogue by highlighting our commitment to diversity and inclusion in the workplace. We foster a supportive and inclusive culture in which all voices are heard, respected and valued. It is ingrained in our corporate culture and a key strength that has helped make us a leading global asset manager and a finalist for Employer of Choice at the 2020 Wealth Professional Awards.

Our culture of inclusion and commitment to diversity is well-documented. We’re proud to be an industry leader in gender balance and the advancement of women in the workplace. We are in the vanguard with 40% female representation on our Board and 33% of senior management roles held by women. Still, we realize there’s much more work to be done.
Similarly, this Pride Month we reflect on the progress being made in support of the LGBTQ2+ community and look for opportunities to drive greater social change and promote even greater diversity in our industry. For our part, AGF remains committed to our inclusive hiring practices and culture, ensuring everyone has an opportunity to join our team and contribute to its success.
At AGF, we firmly believe that our employees and our clients benefit when our team better reflects the diversity of our communities. During Pride Month and throughout the year, we’re proud to show our support for the LGBTQ2+ community and advance the conversation around diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
