AGF’s John Christofolis gives his perspective on the October that was—a month beset by volatility. However, if history is any indication, November may offer a balm. In fact, during mid-term years, Q4 results show us that the S&P 500 typically gains an average of 8.50%, 89% of the time, while NASDAQ gains 10.5%, 78% of the time. Still, investors should expect volatility and elevated price movements to remain at higher levels throughout November and December as markets level set after a difficult October.
