Ukraine Talks Hit a Wall

Winter has arrived in much of the U.S. and Europe, as prospects for a Ukraine deal fade. This horrific war may stretch well into 2026.
The butcher Vladimir Putin is still willing to sacrifice thousands of young people, who are leaving Ukraine in droves.
Putin ramped up the rhetoric yesterday, asserting that Russia is “ready for war with Europe.”
After five hours of negotiations yesterday, there was little progress. Russia wants land in the east and more territory in Crimea.
As usual, Donald Trump’s intentions are unclear. U.S. voters tell us that they’re lukewarm about major new arms shipments to Kyiv.
In the final analysis, the Russian and Ukrainian people will make the final call. Both sides are adamantly opposed to what they see as a surrender; the stalemate may persist.
